This is an original and correct, born-with matching number L-79 327/350 HP, 4-speed wide-ratio Muncie M-20 transmission Corvette with factory side pipes, that has had a very recent frame off restoration that was done to an exacting standard. The panel fit and finish is exceptional. Ive never seen another C2 / Mid- year coupe with body gaps as awesome as this one. The restorer spent HUNDREDS of hours getting the panel gaps flush and uniform. This is a no-hit car, all bonding strips are intact, there are no frame repairs anywhere. And the interior color combo is amazing. The interior is new with all top quality Al Knoch materials, the engine and transmission have been completely rebuilt, clutch and throw out bearing are new, it has new brakes with stainless sleeves and new lines, all new suspension components, 4-wheel alignment, new fuel lines, new half-shafts, new battery, and on and on...... There is no evidence of the body or frame ever sustaining any damage. All gauges work exactly as they should including the clock with its original movement. Running lights, headlights, high beams, turn signals, brake lights, etc. all work perfectly. As the photos show, the underside is as clean as the exterior. Note: the car does have a correct L-79 high-rise intake manifold but it is non-original without the Winters snowflake stamping and an updated replacement Holley #xxxx carb. Distributor is the correct style, but missing its pink band. It runs great and lights up at the turn of the key. It also has a correct and original GM # / Harrison radiator - but it is date coded as a 71 replacement. It does NOT have its tank sticker nor build sheet, they are long gone. But I didnt get a repro for it, as I think thats not proper. It IS what it IS. It also has a brand new but non-original alternator. Mileage is 63,684 and believed to be correct - but can not be independently authenticated.This is a gorgeous, meticulous restoration with fantastic bright work and intricate detailing down to the wiring harness and mechanical set up. A true turn key car that needs nothing and is ready for years of enjoyment and appreciation.This car has never been shown at any major Corvette shows nor NCRSd since its restoration..Im really not into that.
